This is for all your clothes organizers. Personally, I’m not that organized when it comes to my clothes, but when my friend and I started organizing her drawers for this picture, we got really into it. We were neurotically folding all her clothes and arguing over which color piles to put them in.

The girl in this picture is my friend Sophia who was also one of my roommates in Cambridge, MA. She was on her way to a party, but I snagged her right before she left to take this picture. This is her neurosis. Our other roommate, Dana, and I use to catch Sophia “typing” words out on her fingers when she was really stressed out. It was pretty funny to watch.

It took me about 1.5 hours to make this breakfast. Sunny side up eggs are ridiculously hard to cook if you don’t have a non-stick pan so I cooked a half dozen eggs just to make sure that we had back-ups. I wanted the bacon to be straight (as in not curl too much) so it would photograph well so I cooked all the bacon on really low heat. That was a pretty neurotic morning. On top of that, I refused to throw away the breakfast because I spent so much time making it, but I didn’t want to eat it because it had been sitting out for hours. If I could have lamented that plate, I would have.

That is Rich Juzwiak’s cat Winston and my best friend Sharon. Sharon and I are big fans of Rich’s fourfour blog, and I thought it would be awesome to use Winston in the cat neurosis. I have some great news today! The blog has been redesigned with added user friendly features including search, tag clouds, and recent comments. Readers will also now be able to send in illustrations or photos with their submissions. These new improvements should make browsing and searching the blog much easier.

Unfortunately, these improvements come at a small cost. It would have been difficult to integrate these new features into Tumblr so the blog had to be migrated to a new platform. This means that people following the blog through Tumblr will no longer see new posts on their dashboard. I encourage those of you who are following through Tumblr to use the RSS feed on the new site which will retain the same web address at iamneurotic.com. More good news! A book based on the blog will be published by HarperStudio in Fall 2009! I can promise you that the book will greatly differ from the blog, but I’d rather not reveal too much so as not to spoil the surprise.

I need to eat circular foods all the way around the outside before I eat any of the middle. I used to do it cus thats where the most flavour would be but now I even do it on bagels and there’s not much in the middle.

When I was in school I would use extreme caution opening my trapper keeper because I was afraid the metal rings would snap shut on my wrists.
